What are Agloves?

Winter touchscreen gloves. Agloves are made with silver-coated nylon fibers, making the glove conductive. The entire glove is touchscreen friendly. You can operate iPhones, tablets and all other capacitive touchscreen devices with any part of the glove, all ten fingers, even your knuckle or palm. With no unslightly patches or conductive tips, Agloves work just like your hand, and keep you warm too!
Agloves are ideal for texting and data.

Why are they called Agloves?

Agloves get their name from the Periodic Table of the Elements’ symbol for silver. Agloves are made with real silver threads and not with nano-technology.

I’ve tried fingertip-only touchscreen gloves. I was not impressed. Are Agloves different?

For hands to be conductive, moisture and salts must be present on the surface of the skin. The problem with most touchscreen gloves is that they are retrofitted with conductive patches on tips of fingertips only. Fingertips tend to be dry and thus less conductive. That is why fingertip touchscreen gloves don’t work well.
In contrast, the palm of the hand is more moist and thus has a greater conductivity. Agloves tap into this electrical hub. Agloves pull bioelectricity from the palm and deliver (conduct) that energy to your fingertips. Agloves provide superior conductivity and pinpoint accuracy and precision.

These gloves work on touchscreens. But are they warm?

It is challenging to design a touchscreen glove that is both warm and precise. Thick gloves may be warmer, but you can’t text with fat fingers.
Agloves solved this challenge with real silver throughout the glove. Silver fibers reflect heat back to its source making the gloves significantly warmer than a typical pair of knit gloves – without getting bulky! This is known as thermoregulation. Now you can stay warm – and text accurately! – during winters. =)

How well can I text with Agloves?

Agloves are rated #1 for precision and accuracy among touchscreen gloves. Before we designed anything else we made sure that when wearing our gloves people could text and type with accuracy. The snug, lightweight design provides great precision. Some users have told us they text better with Agloves on (scientifically this is because of the conductive “oomph” provided by the real silver threads).
Inc. Magazine thinks Agloves are the best touchscreen gloves.

Do they actually work?

Yes. Better than you think they will.

Why do you use real silver?

Agloves are made with real silver because silver is a powerful metal. Silver is naturally highly conductive and a thermoregulator. Yes, it’s costly to make gloves out of silver, but we think the performance real silver provides is unmatched. Precision, Warmth, and all Ten-Fingers.

All ten fingers, really?

Really. You’ve got ten fingers you should be able to use them all. Or your knuckles, your palm, or the heel of your hand for that matter! The entire Aglove is touchscreen-friendly. Use Agloves on full-sized screens such as iPads, or four-finger swipes on your MacBook Pro or Trackpad. Any finger, any time. Like magic... only warmer.

What is the life expectancy of Agloves?

This depends on actual use. The materials in this glove selected for durability. The silver does not “wear” off or “wash” off but after about a year silver strands may begin to break. Like all knitted gloves, Agloves have a fuzzy, soft look.
Warning: Agloves and Velcro do not mix. Velcro sticks to the knitted materials and can pull apart the threads.

Are they washable?

I am buying Agloves as a gift. Who are Agloves good for?

Agloves are great for anyone with a touchscreen device.

Why aren’t Agloves made with wool?

Wool excretes a sulfide that is death to metals. It fractures the surface of the silver and causes the silver to lose conductivity. Instead, Agloves use synthetic fibers that are soft, warm and wool-like that retains its shape and the intergrity of the silver. Agloves are also resilient, wicking and quick-drying.

It looks like my glove has a loose thread. Is this a problem?

When the knitting machine completes the glove, it has one final thread. This thread is snipped by the machine and then blown into the glove. Sometimes that thread works its way out. The integrity of the glove is not damaged. Your glove is not unraveling. The thread can be tucked back inside the glove or snipped off.
