We’re happy to answer any and all of your queries. Like a good set of gloves, providing a quality product on the one hand would mean nothing if we didn’t pair it with quality service on the other. What are Agloves?

Agloves are everyday knit gloves reinvented for a touch screen world. They are gloves you can text in, type in, call in.  Knitted with a special conductive material, Agloves allow users to effectively operate iPhones, iPads, Droids, MP3 players, and all other capacitive touch screen devices while staying warm.

Why are they called Agloves?

Agloves derive their name from the periodic table of the elements' symbol for silver.  Silver is the key ingredient that allows Agloves to actually work on touch screens, so we had to incorporate it into the name.

How well can I text with Agloves?

Precision, precision, precision.  Before we designed anything else we made sure that when wearing our gloves people could text and type with accuracy. What good are touch screen gloves if you cannot text or type? Agloves get an A+ for precision.  The snug, lightweight design provides great precision.  Some users even tell us that they can text more easily because of the ooomph of conductivity provided by the silver.

How can lightweight gloves be warm?

This question is asked often.  Agloves appear to be too lightweight to be warm.  Give them a try, you might be surprised.  Silver provides natural thermal conductivity to even out temperatures in your hand.  It traps infrared radiation generated by the body keeping the wearer warmer in cold weather. You body heat stays inside the Agloves to keep your hands warm and you texting. You can double up two pairs of Agloves to create greater thickness and you will still have great conductivity.   If you participate in outdoor sports such as skiing, we recommend that you use Agloves as a glove liner.

What makes Agloves special?

Precision, Warmth, Ten-Fingers.  All of this is made possible because of actual silver, #47 on the periodic table.  Agloves are made with silver-coated-nylon fibers knitted into a comfortable fabric that puts conductivity into your gloves.

All ten fingers, really?

Really. You’ve got ten fingers. Not two or three or four or six. Ten. Shouldn’t you be able to use them all? (Or your knuckles, your palm, or the heel of your hand for that matter?) Having silver in every fiber of your gloves means you can use all ten fingers on full-sized screens such as Ipads. Agloves let you do a four finger swipe on your MacBook Pro or Trackpad.   Any finger, any time. Like magic. Only warmer. Watch 10-finger demo on the right side of our homepage, about half way down

iphone-gloves-in-the-cold.jpgDo Agloves work when it gets really cold?

Yes. We did informal tests of Agloves by putting ourselves in a meat freezer at minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.  (Do not try this at home:  No one should stand still for 25 minutes at these temperatures.) At the end of 25 minutes (we couldn't take it anymore) we tested Agloves and they worked like a charm.  Agloves keep working because the conductive material is knitted through every inch of each pair. If your fingertips lose conductivity (because they are too cold and dry) the rest of your hand picks up the slack, and that conductivity travels up your fingers to the device. All fingers.  All temperatures.  All the time.

What is the life expectancy of Agloves?

This depends on actual use.  The materials in this glove are very durable (continuous filament nylon and spun polyester).  The silver does not "wear" off or "wash" off.  Like all knitted gloves, Agloves have a fuzzy, soft look.

Are they washable?

Absolutely. In fact, water helps silver release its ions, so washing will make your gloves even more effective.  Best to hand wash or machine wash gentle cycle and line dry.

What do they feel like?

Lightweight. Snug. Soft, warm, stretchy and slightly fuzzy.

What size should I get?

You will have greater finger dexterity with a snug fit.  Agloves are unisex, and the stretchy fabric allows the gloves to fit most hand sizes.  S/M fits hand sizes 5.5” to 7.5”.  M/L fits hand sizes 7.0” to 9.0”.  See size chart on the bottom of the shopping page. After viewing the size chart, if you are still in doubt about your size, choose M/L.

touch-screen-devices.jpgWhich devices do they work on?

Agloves are work with any and all of your touch screen phones, cameras, multimedia devices, game systems, and eReaders.  See a partial list here

Will they scratch my screen?

No. Agloves have silver in them, but the silver is knitted with other fabrics to make the gloves smooth and soft … for you and your touchscreen.

What happens if they get wet?

Not only are Agloves 100% water safe, moisture actually improves their conductive power. Agloves are not waterproof.  They are terrific as glove liners.

googles.jpgDo they work for outdoor sports?

You bet.  The fabric is perfect for runners, cyclers, hikers, walkers, skiers, boarders, you name it.  The Agloves fabric keeps your hands surprisingly warm without making them too hot. Agloves are suitable as gloves or as glove liners.
